IOC executive board receives an update on the refugee Olympic team for Tokyo 2020 and on the support Olympic solidarity continues to offer to refugee athletes

Olympic Solidarity is currently supporting 55 Refugee Athlete, holders of a special scholarship, who are training in the hope of competing at Tokyo 2020 this summer. They come from 13 countries and are hosted by 21 National Olympic Committees (NOCs) across all 5 continents, representing 12 sports.

Agreement signed between the Olympic Refuge Foundation and France

The chair of the Olympic Refuge Foundation (ORF), Thomas Bach, and Roxana Maracineanu, the French minister for sport, signed an agreement in Lausanne, Switzerland, on Monday 15th February 2021 confirming France’s financial support to the work of the ORF.
